Motional, Lyft to launch robotaxi service in Los Angeles

Autonomous vehicle company Motional will launch robotaxi service in Los Angeles in collaboration with Lyft. The company has been testing its vehicles in Southern California for over a year and expects to obtain necessary permits to charge for rides ahead of the commercial launch. Founded in 2020, Motional is a joint venture of Hyundai and Aptiv.
