MotoGP announces major changes for 2027 season, engine downsized

MotoGP is gearing up for a significant technical overhaul after a decade, introducing a set of new regulatory rules aimed at enhancing competition, sustainability, and cost control. Among the key changes is the reduction of engine displacement from 1000cc to 850cc. It comes along with a decrease in the maximum cylinder bore size from 81mm to 75mm.
