Move to allow non-Zoroastrian trustees can't validate current Bai Hirabai trustees: Mehli

Former Tata Trusts trustee Mehli Mistry said Tata Trusts' move to adopt proceedings to amend Bai Hirabai Trust's restrictive clauses, including the prohibition on non-Zoroastrians from being trustees, can't validate the appointment of existing trustees. He added that changing a 103-year-old deed is unlikely to succeed in law. Mistry had opposed the appointments of Venu Srinivasan and Vijay Singh.
