MP farmers call off protest as govt hikes moong procurement to 60%

Farmers in Madhya Pradesh called off their protest after the state government agreed to procure 60% of the moong crop from eligible farmers and extended the procurement deadline. The government also agreed to suspend the e-token system for fertiliser distribution pending a review. The announcement came after talks between government representatives and farmer leaders at the state secretariat.
