MP official warns about procurement irregularities, says garbage vehicle bought for ₹1.5 cr

A review of purchases by 374 urban local bodies in MP revealed price variations for similar products. Additional Chief Secretary Sanjay Dubey warned officials about procurement irregularities. He stated that garbage vehicles were bought at ₹1.5 crore. The review cited a phenolic disinfectant costing ₹5 per litre in one urban local body, compared with ₹33,500 for a similar product elsewhere.
