MP police lack tyre-killer tech after inspector run over

The death of Khategaon SHO Dilip Puri, run over by a truck linked to liquor smuggling in Dewas, has exposed Madhya Pradesh Police's lack of vehicle interception equipment. Indore police have only four portable tyre killers, reportedly unused. No such equipment exists across the wider state, even as Haryana, Lucknow, and Ahmedabad have deployed modern tyre-killer technology.
