MP temples to accept only online donations: Minister

The Madhya Pradesh government has decided that temples will accept donations only through QR code-based online payments. Minister of State for Culture Dharmendra Lodhi said the move will ensure transparency in the donation system. The decision comes after allegations related to the Ayodhya Ram Temple surfaced publicly. Temples in the state received over ₹250 crore in donations in 2025.
