MRPL shuts its refining units amid oil supply crunch: Report

Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) on Wednesday evening shut a crude unit and ‌some secondary units at its refinery due to oil shortage, Reuters reported. MRPL, which stopped buying ​Russian ⁠oil last year, is mostly dependent on the purchase of oil from the ​Middle East. Iranian ​threats to shipping through the Strait of ​Hormuz have disrupted crude oil flows.
