MRVC invites tenders for 2,856 coaches of Vande Metro trains

The Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation (MRVC) has issued an international tender to procure 2,856 coaches of Vande Metro trains for Mumbai's suburban network. It's part of the Mumbai Urban Transport Project's (MUTP) Phase-3 and 3A, which are worth ₹10,947 crore and ₹33,690 crore, respectively. "We intend to finalise tenders by the end of this calendar year," MRVC chief said.
