MS Dhoni's IPL salary to be cut by ₹8 crore if retained as uncapped player

Former CSK captain MS Dhoni's IPL salary will be cut by ₹8 crore if he is retained as an uncapped player. Dhoni received ₹12 crore in IPL 2024. As per retention rules, uncapped players' salary is set at ₹4 crore. Dhoni will become uncapped player as he has not played international cricket in the last five calendar years.
