MSP can only guarantee stable price not best rate: NITI Aayog member

NITI Aayog member Ramesh Chand said that minimum support price (MSP) for crops can guarantee stable prices but not always the best rates. "Best price comes from competition. If there is competition in the market, farmers can get the best price," Chand said. He added that growth is witnessed in sectors where government intervention is minimum in pricing.
