MTech student builds micro-GPU for affordable displays
MTech student Nammi Akash developed a micro-GPU using a Spartan-7 FPGA platform and custom floating-point engine, targeting affordable devices like e-book readers and industrial displays. Designed for FPGA implementation and future ASIC realization, the team now plans to expand toward an 8-16 core vector-style graphics processor architecture.
