Muhammad emerged as the most popular name for baby boys in England and Wales in 2023 and it overtook Noah, official data showed. As many as 4,661 baby boys were named Muhammad. Muhammad has been among the 10 most popular names since 2016 and took second place in 2022. Olivia, Amelia and Isla were popular names for baby girls.
