Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jairam Thakur has expressed his "deepest condolences" to the family members and supporters of Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav, who passed away earlier in the day. "He was a big name in Indian politics. This is a great loss for the politics of the country," stated Thakur. Mulayam Singh passed away aged 82.
