The Taliban has revealed that it covered the death of leader Mullah Omar for two years. He had reportedly died on April 23, 2013, whereas the Afghan organization continued to work under his name, and finally announced him dead on July 30 this year. Omar had not gone out in public since 2011, after the Taliban's fall in Kabul.
