Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train security may shift to RPF from CISF

The Railway Protection Force (RPF) is likely to take charge of security for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train corridor, according to sources. The proposal is under discussion, with officials assessing deployment needs, operational efficiency and overall security costs before finalising the framework for safeguarding India's first high-speed rail project.
