Mumbai airport to replace peacock carpet with terrazzo flooring

Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport is set to bid farewell to its iconic peacock-inspired carpet at Terminal 2. The custom-woven carpet will be replaced with terrazzo flooring as part of the airport's modernisation project. Flyers will now be welcomed by high-performance terrazzo flooring, with the replacement project expected to be completed by March 2027.
