Mumbai, Pune and multiple parts of Maharashtra are likely to witness another spell of active monsoon conditions this week, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issuing a yellow alert for Mumbai, Thane, Pune and Raigad. Meteorologists have attributed the fresh monsoon phenomenon to a low-pressure area stretching from Rajasthan to the northwest Bay of Bengal.
