Mumbai auto and taxi fares to increase from September 1

Mumbai Metropolitan Region commuters will pay more for autorickshaw and black-and-yellow taxi rides from September 1, 2026. The minimum auto fare will rise from ₹26 to ₹27 for the first 1.5 km, while the minimum taxi fare will increase from ₹31 to ₹33. The revision covers Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai, Kalyan, Vasai-Virar, Panvel.
