Mumbai-based GTL Group repays ₹28,120 crore to 42 lenders

Mumbai-based telecom infrastructure services company GTL Group has successfully repaid ₹28,120 crore to 42 lenders as of January, marking a key milestone in its 15-year debt restructuring journey. The lender banks had invoked a strategic debt restructuring (SDR) in 2016 on the total loan of ₹11,263 crore, as the corporate debt restructuring (CDR) approved in 2011 did not work out.
