Mumbai commuters may soon pay nearly double the current fare to ride BEST buses, as the BMC has approved a fare hike pending state government approval. Non-AC fares will rise from ₹5 to ₹10, while AC fares will start at ₹12 instead of ₹6. Monthly passes will also become costlier under the proposed fare revision.
