Mumbai international airport runways to be shut for 6 hrs on May 2

Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport has announced that both the runways of the airport will remain shut for six hours on May 2 for pre-monsoon maintenance work. The closure will be from 11 am-5 pm. The yearly practice of runway maintenance work involves specialists inspecting the runway surface for microtexture and macrotexture wear and tear, an official statement said.
