Mumbai jail inmates to get medical help via video-conference

The inmates of Mumbai's Taloja central jail will now be able to receive medical help through video-conferencing. The facility has been reportedly introduced to reduce the time and money spent on transporting prisoners to a hospital, which would require an escort team of up to five personnel and a vehicle. Additionally, the police believe this will help curb prison escapes.
