Mumbai metro breaks record amid heavy rain, records ridership of 3,65,845 in 1 day

Mumbai Metro broke a record by registering a ridership of 3,65,845 passengers on Thursday across Metro Lines 2A, 2B, 7 and 9 as heavy monsoon rains disrupted road transport. Officials said the surge was driven by commuters opting for the metro amid waterlogging and reopening of schools. This was the second time in two months that the record was broken.
