Mumbai on alert as heavy rain prompts BMC health advisory

The IMD has predicted another day of intense monsoon conditions in Mumbai, including very heavy to extremely heavy rainfall, winds of up to 70 kmph and high tide. Separately, the BMC issued a public health advisory urging residents to adopt preventive measures against leptospirosis, which becomes more common during the rainy season.
