Mumbai Police Commissioner's family firm got govt contract before Maha polls

A firm owned by the son and wife of Mumbai Police Commissioner Sanjay Barve was awarded a contract by the Devendra Fadnavis-led government for the digitisation of Mumbai Police's official records days before the Maharashtra Assembly polls. Barve said the firm offered services free of cost. However, the project could not be initiated owing to "technical issues", an official said.
