Mumbai Police set up 'Nirbhaya Squad' to ensure women's safety

After the Sakinaka rape case, Mumbai Police have set up 'Nirbhaya Squad' to address cases of crimes against women in the city. "[The squad] is...set up [for] creating...sense of respect for women in society and creating fear of...law," a police circular read. Each squad would comprise one woman PSI/ASI rank officer, one female and one male constable and a driver.
