Mumbai railway checker gets 7 stitches after passenger attack

A ticketless passenger allegedly punched Western Railway ticket checker Ashish Gupta at Mumbai’s Jogeshwari station after being asked to pay a ₹500 fine. Gupta suffered facial injuries after his spectacles broke in the attack and required seven stitches under his eye. The accused, Ajay Dhivar, was caught while allegedly fleeing and later released after being served a notice.
