Mumbai witnessed its first noticeable pre-monsoon showers of the season on Friday, with moderate rain reported from Mulund and nearby eastern suburbs like Bhandup. Videos on social media showed buses, bikes and cars drenched in a residential parking area, as residents welcomed relief from persistent heat and humidity. Monsoon shall arrive in Mumbai by June 5, IMD had predicted.
