Mumbai residents can avail free minor repairs to cessed buildings through BMC funds

Residents of cessed buildings in Mumbai can now get free minor repairs to compound passages, flooring, drainage systems and water pipelines. The BMC will bear the cost without levying additional property tax or other municipal charges on residents. Applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Mumbai has 14,207 cessed buildings, mainly located in the island city.
