Mumbai's Banganga Tank barricaded for 1st time after mass fish death incident

Mumbai's historic Banganga Tank in Walkeshwar has been barricaded for the first time during Pitru Paksha, the area's public representative Sunny Sanap said. The action follows the death of hundreds of fish, apparently due to the immersion of ritual offerings in the water. Ten artificial tanks using Banganga water have been installed as an alternative for ritual offerings.
