Mumbai's Shastri Nagar Municipal Market to close after 44 years

According to reports, Bandra's Shastri Nagar Municipal Market is closing down after approximately 44 years to make space for a new commercial tower. As per BMC's records, the market has been in existence since 1980. The owners of shops in the market have reportedly accepted offers from the builders and will soon vacate it.
