Mumbai recorded its driest May in the past three years despite moderate rainfall on Sunday morning, the IMD said. The Colaba coastal station and Santacruz observatory received no rain between May 1 and May 30. However, on May 31, moderate showers were recorded across the city, with 8.8 mm rainfall at Santacruz observatory, taking the monthly total to 8.8 mm.
