Mumbai sees heavy rain and thunderstorms; IMD issues yellow alert for parts of Maha

Parts of Mumbai and Thane witnessed thunderstorms, gusty winds and heavy rain on Monday. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has also issued a yellow alert for several parts of Maharashtra until September 25, with many areas expected to receive heavy rainfall accompanied by lightning and gusty winds of 40-50 kmph. Thane is expected to experience more intense weather activity.
