Mumbai sees sudden dust storm; IMD predicts thunderstorm

Parts of Mumbai were hit by a severe dust storm on April 4, reducing visibility and causing havoc in the city. The storm was triggered by a cyclonic circulation developing over the region, radically altering wind patterns. Most parts of the city, particularly the Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation region, were hit hard by thick layers of airborne dust and reduced visibility.
