Mumbai shoe firm files infringement case against Flipkart

Mumbai-based footwear company Metro Shoes has filed a trademark infringement case against Flipkart in Bombay High Court. Metro Shoes has alleged that Flipkart's private brand named Metronaut is similar to Metro's eponymous brand, adding that the e-commerce startup is also selling shoes under the brand name. In response, Flipkart said it has not been aware of any such legal proceeding.
