Mumbai taxi, autorickshaw minimum fare hiked; effective from Oct 1

The minimum fare of taxi and autorickshaws in Mumbai has been hiked and will be effective from October 1. According to reports, the minimum taxi fare will now be ₹28, while the minimum fare for autorickshaws will be ₹23, as opposed to ₹25 and ₹21, respectively. There are around 48,000 taxis and two lakh autorickshaws in Mumbai, reports said.
