Mumbai to get ₹6,322 crore twin tunnels for East-West connectivity

A 4.7-km-long twin tunnel will be built below Mumbai's Sanjay Gandhi National Park (SGNP), with an extended tunnel passing through the Filmcity in Goregaon as a part of Goregaon Mulund Link Road (GMLR) project. The tunnel will be constructed at the cost of ₹6,322 crore and will connect Western Express Highway with Eastern Express Highway.
