Mumbai's Byculla Zoo reopens, witnesses 1,419 visitors on day 1

Mumbai's Byculla Zoo, also known as Veermata Jijabai Bhosale Udyan and Zoo, reopened on Monday after remaining closed for almost a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. According to authorities, the zoo witnessed 1,419 visitors on the first day. "We...earned a total revenue of ₹69,600. This excludes senior citizens whose entry is free," zoo's Director Dr Sanjay Tripathi said.
