Mumbai's Chitra Cinema shuts down after 70 yrs over poor business

Dadar's Chitra Cinema, one of Mumbai's first AC theatres, shut down after seven decades following its last screening of 'Student of the Year 2' on Thursday. "We used to get 10-15% business but spend a lot on maintenance. Thought people will come for last show but it didn't happen," third-generation owner Dara Mehta said on the 550-seater theatre.
