Mumbai's Wadhwani AI to receive $2 million Google grant

Mumbai-based Wadhwani Institute for AI is among 20 organisations that will share $25-million grants from Google.org under Google AI Impact Challenge. Wadhwani AI will receive $2 million to create technologies that will help reduce crop losses in cotton farming via integrated pest management. Grantees will go to San Francisco next week for a six-month programme run by Google Developers Launchpad.
