Mummified 'half-fish half-human mermaid' discovered in Japan

A "mummified half-fish half-human mermaid" was found in an old house in Japan's Fukushima. The "sea creature" with razor-sharp teeth, giant hands, and a mermaid’s tail was put up for an auction, where it's expected to fetch around £11,755 (around ₹14 lakh). It’s thought to be a representative model of a 'kappa', a mythical water demon found in Japanese lore.
