Music festival halted after 36 test COVID +ve on site in S Africa

Organisers cancelled the Ballito Rage music festival on South Africa's eastern coast after 36 people tested COVID-19 positive at the site on Wednesday. Out of 940 people tested for COVID-19 during the first eight hours of the event, 32 guests and four staff were positive. However, it is not known whether the 36 were infected with Omicron or another variant.
