Musical.ly to merge with Tik Tok to form new video app

Lip-syncing app Musical.ly is being merged with Tik Tok to form a new video app, according to Chinese company ByteDance which owns both the platforms. Musical.ly users will see their app switch to Tik Tok following an update, with their videos and settings intact. Further, the app will alert users if they are active for two hours in one day.
