Musk eligible for $2.1 bn bonus as Tesla's average market cap hits $150 bn

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has become eligible for a $2.1 billion payout after the electric carmaking company's six-month average trailing market capitalisation hit $150 billion. Musk can now access the second of 12 levels of options granted to him in a pay package approved by shareholders in 2018. The board must certify the milestone before the vesting option is triggered.
