Musk firing 80% Twitter staff made other firms do it too: Report
Elon Musk fired around 6,000 employees or roughly 80% of Twitter's (now X) staff since he bought the company in 2022. Following this, several other Silicon Valley tech companies have adopted the practice and have laid off thousands of white-collar workers, The Telegraph reported. Musk had asked the remaining staff to prepare for "extremely hardcore" working hours, the report added.
