Elon Musk's long-time partner Shivon Zilis’ compromised X account promoted the SLINK meme coin, triggering a sharp surge in its market capitalisation to $80 million. Meanwhile, Musk inadvertently replied to one post with a "100-point emoji", further adding credibility to the promotion. The token then plunged more than 97% to near zero within two hours after fraudulent posts were removed.
