Musk to give away $100M prize over 4 yrs for removing CO2 from air

XPRIZE Foundation on Monday revealed the details of $100 million prize pledged by the world's richest person Elon Musk last month for the best carbon capture tech. The participants of the 4-year-long competition will be expected to create technology that "can pull carbon dioxide directly from the atmosphere" and lock it away "permanently in an environmentally benign way".
