Elon Musk was texting with billionaire Larry Ellison just hours before he announced that the $44-billion Twitter deal was on hold, the company said in a court filing. Musk exchanged multiple text messages with the Oracle Co-founder all night and "into the early morning hours" on May 12-13, Twitter said. Notably, Ellison had pledged $1 billion to the Twitter deal.
