Musk-backed startup Stripe raises $245mn at $20bn valuation

Billionaire Elon Musk-backed digital payments startup Stripe has raised $245 million in a new funding round led by Tiger Global Management. The round also saw participation from new backers including DST Global and existing investors including Sequoia Capital, along with VC firm Kleiner Perkins, and Thrive Capital. The funding round valued the startup at around $20 billion.
